'Come All Ye' is a folk music radio program broadcast on
2MCE-FM each Sunday from 12 to 2pm, heard across the central west of NSW, Australia, in the cities of Bathurst (92.3 Mhz) and Orange (94.7 Mhz). Bruce Cameron has hosted 'Come All Ye' since 1976, making it the longest running folk / acoustic / roots program on Australian radio still with its original presenter.

Many of the tracks came from artists who have appeared at the Orkney Folk Festival www.orkneyfolkfestival.com/  The 2007 Festival was a highlight of my recent journey to that part of the world, along with a fascinating side trip to Iceland.

The featured album was PLYING MY TRADE by John Munro (Greentrax), well-known singer songwriter based in Adelaide, originally from Glasgow and long time accompanist to Eric Bogle.  After appearing on over fifty albums, this is John's debut solo CD.  The following tracks (all * Australian content) were scattered through the program:

It is Henry Lawson’s 140th birthday next Sunday, and the town of Grenfell has its annual Henry Lawson Festival this weekend, so the program included a couple of Henry’s poems put to music. As it is also the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the program included a song about the King (Elvis!)

Moving Cloud’s (the Irish one) second and final album, FOXGLOVE, is a recent acquisition, so some tracks are featured.
